This is from the school of hard knocks.
If you open the left side of the camera with a card in the card reader and then put the side back on without removing the card from the reader, you may cause the card reader to pull away from the card that it is soldered to.

    This causes two issues.

1)The card reader, which is just a small plastic and metal receiver, will float around inside the camera. This is directly near the power supply and could cause a short.

2)The card reader will, of course, not work until the board is repaired.

*There is a small string that keeps the left side supported when it is opened. We found that this string found its way across the card and help to push the card reader off of its soldered home.

Simple rule. Remove the card when you open the side of the camera. Or at lease remove the car before you close the left side.

There are three types of people in this world, those that can count and those that can’t.
