Assistance with pmw-ex1 1080i/60 footage
Hello to the creative cow community!
Background info:
I was tasked with recording a series of seminars with a rented pmw-ex1 xd cam, I recorded at 1080i/60 setting.
I have no experience recording or editing video, complete amateur somehow I was chosen to record, we are all volunteers at the seminar.
It is going to be sent to a newyork based tv channel to be aired on tv.
The Issue:The problem is that when I transferred the video data onto pc, and played the raw footage through VLC player, the footage is choppy/laggy whenever the camera moves slightly. Why is this happening and how can it be fixed? Sorry for my ignorance i am completely out of my league here.

Without any details, perhaps your computer is struggling with playback.
Have you tested with Sony’s own software used to log XDCAM EX video?
