Assistance: Magic Bullet Looks on After Effects CC 2015
So I wanted to add some colors/edit some colors in my video. And then this happened…
When I made a new black solid, and dragged and dropped Magic Bullet Looks on it, I clicked edit, and when the window popped up, there was a black screen on where should have been the frame I wanted to edit. I had selected a particular frame on the timeline (which I wanted to edit), and there was still a black screen. I tried all novice solutions (selecting a different frame, moving the solid up and down layers, restarting, deleting and adding again) etc, and no luck.

In other words, apply the effect to the clip you want to color grade, or onto an adjustment layer above your clips.
