Assimilate launches free scratch play media player
Assimilate today unveiled a new free media player, Scratch Play, that supports RAW footage, MXF, DPX, OpenEXR, and ProRes files.
I only played with this a bit, but it looks like Lightroom for Video. You can add clip notes, colorize, and it even has scopes. The website claims that you can play anything, but my cameras shoot M2T files, and of course this player won’t play them, but VLC will.
I did notice that the media metadata information is displayed at the bottom of the player.
Looks like it might be a good tool to have.
