(This is cross-posted because the Final Cut Basics forum doesn’t seem to get much traffic.)

I have experience in a few other edit systems but I’ve only recently — belatedly — begun working in Final Cut Pro. My question concerns what sequence setting I should use for my current project. It’s a 3-4 minute piece composed entirely of still images and music. (I’m using Pan Zoom Pro for the stills.) The deliverable is a 16×9 digital file that will be projected. In the sequence settings dialog I selected HD 960×720 and the compressor DVCPRO HD 720p60. Does that sound reasonable? Will that allow me to create an appropriate deliverable?

    Thanks for any guidance.

Without knowing to what the projector is going to be connected to access your file, we can’t answer your question.

Is is going to play back from a computer or from a DDR? If computer, which computer and what program will they be using? If DDR, what type of DDR and what is it’s native format?

You might have better luck asking the people to whom you are delivering what codec and format they want and work backwards from there.
