Aspect ratio problem
Hi, I am not sure what I did but my pixel axpect ratio is screwie. My avi’s are in ntsc widescreen, play proper on media player. So I made a new project in Encore 1.5 made a blank 16:9 menu, threw in some buttons, and now in the DVD player the menu shows up 16:9 but footage is stretched to 4:3. Is it possibly the buttons I dropped the timeline into?

Go to File>Interpret Footage in Encore. What does Encore think the PAR of your video file is?

Hey Jeff, thanks for that easy fix. Encore was reading it as standard(0.9) Its been a while since doing a widescreen project, and I thought Encore read it automatically back then. That did it, thanks again.

You’re welcome.
Encore does read it automatically, but it doesn’t always get it right. It depends a lot on the source file.
