I am using Sony Vegas Movie Studio 8.0 to import Windows Media Video files to ‘tune’ the color balance and the contrast, etc. I cannot get the Sony Vegas output file to match the original imported file in size and aspect ratio … the out put ‘flattens’ the image somewhat. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, are there any schools on Vegas Movie Studio? I think I need to go to one! Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Can you give us the imported files spec’s as well as the spec’s once it is on the timeline and then tell us how you are rendering the file?

If I am not mistaken, you are limited in what you can do with the consumer version of Vegas when it comes to customizing output settings. I could be wrong on this as I do not own the consumer version. Maybe I need to obtain a copy so I can better answer these sorts of questions 🙂

Give us some more information and I am pretty sure we can help you out.

    Hello,

I’ve very new to Vegas and had the same problem with JPG’s being stretched to fill the screen. The only way I could fix it was to right click each image in the media store area and then select properties.

The properties menu then had an “aspect” drop down option that I changed to 1:1. It worked a treat, but I do have to carry out this operation on every single image I import. 8o(

This may sort the issue for video files, but I have not tried.

    Best Regards, Alex.
