I’ve got a WMV from a client, 720×480 with 1.2121 (NTSC DV widescreen) pixel aspect ratio. I got that using “Match Media Settings” when starting the project.

I’ve made some edits with it and want to get it back to the client for approval. However, when I go to select “WMV” again as filetype, I selected “Keep Original Filesize”, but pixel aspect ratio only lets me choose between 1.000 and 1.333.

    What to do?

    [Kelly Griffin] “I’ve got a WMV from a client…”

    You have my sympathies 🙂

In the Custom WMV Video tab, change the Image Size to Custom and change the width and height to 872 (720 x 1.2121) x 480.
Change the Frame Rate if required.

    Hey Mike–

I just thought of a new question about this: If the original file was 720×480 with 1.2121 pixel aspect, I would think it wouldn’t look correct playing on my square-pixel computer monitor, but it does.

    Wuddup with that?

    [Kelly Griffin] “Wuddup with that?”

Your guess is as good as mine 🙂
