Artifacts when placing png image on solid color
Posted by Josh Freeman on April 25, 2019 at 8:18 pmThis image explains it all:

I placed multiple words as PNG pictures with transparency on a solid color and both in preview and render artifacts (black thin lines) apear. How do I fix it?

Hi Josh. Yeah I’ve had that too. You going to need to go back and check the “artwork”. There’s an edge that you’re going to need to work-flat/feather to make sure that isn’t carried over. I can tell that that line is parallel to the bottom edge of your only angled “IDC” item. Or maybe a bit of Blur, restricted to that line.

April 26, 2019 at 4:04 amYeah, careful preparation of artwork, meaning QA-ing of all the elements and layers, will save a lot of time, going forward. I know, I’ve ignored this and probably will again, but if I see something in VegasPro I’m almost certain nowadays to know what I’ve done wrong.

Just to add to Graham’s response, lines will also show in your preview window when you are in any other mode than Best/Full. The lower the resolution, the more lines are visible. I get that sometimes also when masking. I can’t tell from your still what viewing mode you’re using. Could be just that.
Cheers !
