ARRI Alexa ProRes 4444 > AVID MC6 (Windows) BEST WORKFLOW with LUTS applied
Hi,
I’m a TV edit assistant working in England begging work on a new show which is shooting on an ARRI ALEXA PLUS.
The camera’s aren’t licensed to shoot DNxHD, therefore will be shooting ProRes 4444.
I have worked with this format many times in FCP7 but never in AVID. In FCP it was simply a case of applying a filter for any viewings or exports with producers/execs. But since there’s no way of doing it this simply in AVID I’m trying to find a workaround.
I have found that on Mac you can use several programs such as Alexicc to transcode the rushes to a REC709 look. But I can’t find anything for Windows.
If anyone has any experience with this workflow and has any suggestions it would be much appreciated.

Download the free DaVinci Resolve for Windows, open sources, apply LogC -> Rec.709 LUT and export native Avid DNxHD media.
