Are These Rendering Speeds Normal?
I have a brand new computer with only a few programs and a few small files on it.
My computer
16 RAM
Windows 7 64 bit
Intel(R) Core i7 2600CPOU @ 3.40 GHZ 8MB Cache
NVIDIA Geforce GT530I have 1.72 TB free of 1.80
Now for my question, my prior computer had 4GB RAM good graphics card, etc. it was a laptop – to render a 1280×720 HD video in vegas it would take me 45minutes – 1 hr PER minute! My new computer, the first thing I did was try to render 1 minute of 1280×720 HD video. It rendered 1 minute in a little over 1 minute. GREAT!
Then I added some programs to my computer (Photoshop CS5 design suite, Sony DVD Architect, Autocad and Revit architecture) NO files for those yet though. I also hadded some short video to finally render. I was rendering in 1920×1080 it was taking about 2.5 minutes per minute.
well, the next day my rendering speeds increased 2-3X … WTF
Windows updated several times between then.
With my computer stats, should a 1280×720 with NO effects 1 video and audio track be taking 2.5-3 minutes per minute, and a 1920×1080 be taking 5.5-8.5 per minute (depending on what priority I set)??
I also attempted to create my first DVD using Sony DVD architect 5.0It has 18 minutes worth of video. After 30 minutes and still 0% complete in the rendering/burning process I canceled. At that point it said it was going to take over 10hrs and counting…
That cant be right can it??
any input?
