Are there button limits in Encore CS6?
I’m creating a menu in Encore CS6. I have 21 buttons and Encore recognizes them. I can click on the buttons and link them to the video. However, when I review the disc in preview I am unable to select the last 3 buttons. Is there a button limit in Encore? I’ve never had this issue before.

The DVD limits were always the DVD spec: 36 buttons per 4:3 menu and 18 buttons per 16:9 menu.
The limit is 32 buttons per menu in BD; is that a spec or Encore limit?
My money is on your having a DVD 16:9 menu!

hey stan,
BD-limitation is different according to BD-spec. it´s got a 16MB limit for all IG (interactive graphics) within one title (menues are a titles as well), as the IG-stream will be loaded completly into the players RAM-buffer before starting the title.so you could have as much multi-pages/buttons/background/button-groups within the IG-stream as you want.
but in fact there is a limitation as far as I remember, and it´s regarding buttons within a single button-group. this is limited to button 0 to 32, but I´m not quite sure about it.

You’re right Stan. I’m creating a DVD 16:9. I wasn’t aware of the limitation. Thanks for the info.
