  • Are Sony MDR-V6 Headphones good With Z1 Camcorder

Posted by Ben Edwards on February 9, 2011 at 11:25 am

The Sony Z1 camcorder puts out a very week headphone signal. Currently I use Sennheiser HD 215 which are OK but still not very loud. Doe anyone know how ‘efficient’ the MDR-V6 are?

no problem. you could easily find this yourself by googling “MDR-V6 Sensitivity”

    Audio
    Driver Unit : 40mm
    Frequency Response : 5Hz – 30,000Hz
    Impedance : 63 ohms
    Sensitivity (db) : 106dB/mW

    Same as the MDR7506.

    Ty,

Thanks, so it is Sensitivity I need to look for.

So the Sony MDR V6 seems to be 106 Db/w and the sennheiser HD 215 I have are 112 dB/W so the Sony would not be as loud for the same input signal. I will carry googeling but any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Ben
