    So I’m editing a 3 camera shoot (a wedding) and I have a 30-40 min. clip from each camera on Video 1, 2, and 3. After syncing the audio and video, I typically slice the top clip (Video 2 or 3) to cut between each camera. I have a default transition setup, and I just learned how to apply it to a single video track (w/ ctrl-d) – a lifesaver when I’m editing on a single video track….but how can I apply a default transition when editing between multiple video tracks?

    …alright – after going back and playing around, I realize that I can apply the default transition if I have a single video track selected on the timeline…but because I usually cut between multiple cameras, I’d like to apply the transition everytime I hit page-down/page-up, regardless of the selected track. Is this possible?

    I probably dont doe this correctly but I created a hot key in preferences

    1 is created as the (~ or ` ) key this I mapped to next cut
    2 is created as the (1) key this i mapped as default transition

    now I just ~1 , ~1 , ~1 over and over, then flip the default trans when I want to do something else in massive ammounts, You can edit 100 transitions via default in 2mins no lie.

    note the positions of the ~ & 1 key `1`1`1`1`1`1`1`1`1`1`1`1`1`1`1

    I might guess that you are not using PP 2.0 ?

    then maybe it is worth the investment and upgrade to PP 2.0 which has the multi-cam function. this alone might save more time, and of course then when you assemble, applying the transitions is only moments each.

    If you really dont want to move to a new version, and have some $$ united media multicam works really well.

    I shoot 10-12 weddings every season and about 2yrs ago I broke down and bought multicam for this sole reason. the day I installed the app, I saved so many hours in the basic edit. it was so noticeble. well worth the $$. Infact I still have it on one machine, and use it all the time.
