  • Apply uv ‘decals’ on top of another material?

I’m kinda re-learning C4d and need to map some graphics onto a truck body. I have a paint material applied that was given to me with the model and have the textures mostly ready. After using BodyPaint, the ‘sticker’s’ show up on the truck, but the paint material under it won’t. It only shows the grey, transparent grid (like the bg in Layers in BP) Do I need to treat the BP uv layer with the alpha channel to have it show up? I put the uv map into the alpha channel and the grid shows up. Weird.

Hopefully that’s enough to figure this out. I’ve been watching a lot of tuts but no one seems to cover this particular aspect of uv mapping.

I JUST got R16 yesterday. I’m on a MacPro trashcan. (i’m sure this doesn’t matter, but wth)
