apply Strobe to moves made in Motion tab w/out nesting?
I’m fiddling with both the Video & Time versions of Strobe (not sure of diff) as applied to a rapid photo-mation move I’ve set up with keyframes in the Motion tab. (I’ll be doing a lot of this)
The only way I can get it to work is to make the photo-mation bit its own seq and then edit that seq into the main seq – then apply Video Strobe (nesting). I’d love to be able accomplish this without nesting, is that possible?

Are you just keyframing position in the Motion tab? More information would be cool. I see no reason why you can’t keyframe in the Motion tab and then add strobe to that clip. If you’re keyframing the Strobe filter, and want to add Strobe over that, you can just layer another copy of the filter underneath. Though I can’t think of any situation in which that would be necessary.

Yes. Applying Strobe to that clip with position keyframes doesn’t do anything in my tests. (my strobe needs are uniform, no keyframes there)

I’m sorry, I cannot help, as it works just fine in my FCP 7. What exactly is causing you to not be able to put Strobe on those clips?
