Apply “Master” comp to group of comps?
Is there a way to apply a “master” comp to selected comps? (like how InDesign has master pages)
For example, let’s say I have 10 comps, each containing a design of a two-page spread. How would I add the title of the book to the top of each comp (that I can make edits to later), without going inside each comp and adding a pre comp?
The thing I’m really interested in this master – child relationship. Is structuring projects this way possible in After Effects?

The InDesign concept of master layouts doesn’t exist in Ae per se, but you could replicate master/child functionality from one master comp to many child comps with the Copy with Property Links feature:
