Each time I try to export in any type I get this error. Weather it’s export to Encore or just making a .mov. And, it doesn’t do it untill the very end so it takes all day to find out that it didn’t work.
I have a PPro project consisting of a talking head Picture in Pictured over a JPEG slide show of a Power Point Presentation with a Digital Juice Jump Back. It’s about 1hr 20min and takes about 8hrs to render to a QT .mov or to send it to Encore.
I’m using CS3 on Mac with 10.4.11. I thought it might be a problem with QT 7.4 and I downloaded and installed 7.4.1 yesterday but had gotten the error message several times by that point. Do you guys have any ideas.
I’m trying to send just the presenter, not the slide show or back ground, to a .mov right now to see if the isolated piece of media will work without the other stuff.

    Thanks

From earilier posts, QT 7.4.1 has serious problems. Go back to 7.3
ALso I’m keen to know why you make a QT file for Encore?
If you make an MPEg-2 you won’t need to re-encode the file in Encore.
I’d run some tests once you roll back to QT 7.3

    Test:
    1. Set the Work Area Bar to about 20 sec (move the Playhead/CTI to 20sec then press alt+])
    2. Set the Rendering/Export with Adobe Media Encoder to MPEG-2 DVD (Select preset based on your Format NTSC/PAL)
    3. Render out with the Work Area not Entire Timeline/Sequence
    4. If that works fine you have the MPEG-2 workflow.
    5. Try it again with the QT export settings you usually use.

If the hang occurs in the 20sec you’ll get it on the entire one too. Therefore you’ll be safe to go the whole timeline if it works with the 20sec export.
