    I just got the new MacBook Pro (if that means anything for my issue). I downloaded After Effects off of Adobe and downloaded Final Cut Pro X off the App Store. Apple ProRes remains an option in Final Cut but when I use After Effects, I cannot see any ProRes options available to export with.

    I thought the codecs automatically installed when the program was installed. What am I missing?

    FCPX does not include the QuickTime codecs (it’s based on the new media framework AV Foundation). Download them here:
