    Hello all,

I am trying to import some Apple ProRes clips into Mac Premiere CS3 with Kona Lhe. I can import the file but the audio gets stripped off and the file won’t play smoothly in the PPro timeline without rendering it first.

The Details: The video is coming from an outside source, An AJA io box. The files are saved to disc as Apple Pro Res 422 (HQ) 1920×1080 29.97 with audio settings of 24 bit integer, 8 channels, 48 Khz.

    Any suggestions are much appreciated!

    Thank you,
    Jay B.

PPro is not really ‘tuned’ to be optimized for ProRes like FCP is…you’ll need to ask Apple about allowing some access there…

However…I’ve imported ProRes clips on PPro Windows and had very few issues, is your computer configuration up to speed for ProRes playback?

On the audio…is the IO writing independent files? Video in one file and audio in another?
