You should have the codec under the Quicktime codecs if you are on a Mac. If you are on a Windows you can’t export to prores with AE.

    Hi Tero,

I do not have the prores option when exporting from After Effects. I have been following a tutorial on how to clean up dslr footage and export to prores ready for grading/colour correction. In the format options it appears as an option on the tutorial but not in my options through AE.

    Any ideas?

    Regards

    Scott

    Thanks Dave,
The page seems to have loaded correctly now. Originally I was getting that issue where the style sheets hadn’t kicked in leaving an ugly html syntax looking page where I could only see the bullet points and no clickable links!
    Doh!

For 10.9 (I think) onwards you don’t need to have any Pro Video Codecs installed to use ProRes. It is always there on the mac. Just not on Windows.
    Cheers

    Dave
