Those of us with ProApps can only hope that someone at Apple with ProApps installed has actually tried it out…
Sometimes I wonder…

January 7, 2011 at 9:44 pmI don’t know, but those guys start to behave like Microsoft, forcing to install software that nobody has asked for: I DON”T WANT TO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THAT MAC APP STORE.
I don’t want that on my computer.

January 7, 2011 at 11:05 pmAperture 3 in the app store for $120 less than the real store? Like it or not, Apple is going to force us into that app store.

January 7, 2011 at 11:28 pmI would say give it a week, and you will either hear nothing or some outrageous amount of crazy glitches.
I have not seen any issues. I am updated.*Production*Post-Production*

Considering Apple is only about 5 years late to the software download party, I’d say it’s about time. I can purchase just about all the software for my company via download except Apple’s.
For a supposedly “green company” it sure took them a long time to drop the printed manuals from the pro apps and now they don’t have to manufacture 8 DVDs or whatever it is just to install the suite.
The one thing I wonder is if they will break apart the Studio Suite now so you can actually just purchase FCP or DVD Studio Pro if that’s all you want.

January 8, 2011 at 2:43 pmThe final cut studio would be a pretty hefty download… it’s about 50GB isn’t it?

January 11, 2011 at 3:24 amI’m seeing nothing but spinning beach balls on even a very simple timeline (720p XDCam EX 23.98) running on a 6 core machine. I’ve done a safe boot, repaired permissions, swapped out drives, trashed preferences – nothing helps for more than a little while. My AJA Kona 3 shows everything out of synch so using my CRT for anything but still frame work is useless. If the Kona has synch, the computer monitor is out of synch. This is a nightmare.
I’m wondering if the fault might be with the 6 core machine. I notice it’s no longer available. Anyone else have some similar problems?
