DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH APPLE MOVIE LOGGER? ANY TECHNICAL DRAWBACKS I SHOULD BE AWARE OF? WE CURRENTLY HAVE PILOTWARE AND ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH ITS PERFORMANCE AND ITS LIMITATIONS WITH FINAL CUT PRO AND ARE THINKING ABOUT SWITCHING.

I’ve played with it some during the beta test period. It’s a nice app, well designed, easy to use and visually pleasing. Integrates well with FCP via FCP XML export of logged media. If you’re looking for an app designed for logging already digitised/captured material then you can do a lot worse. This ones not for logging tape based media tho.

Thanks for the information, Andy. Why is movie logger not setup for tape based logging? Are there timecode issues? Is this software more efficient for P2 file based media?
