I’ve been asked to do a (video) slide show that is a follow-up to another one that employed some great looking 3d (or 2.5d) transitions that were exported from Apple Keynote. One signature of the effect was having black “ground” surface of the faux 3d environment that reflected or mirrored the images. I have enough volume and revisions (expected) that I don’t want to do this in After Effects. Anyone familiar with these Keynote 3d transitions* and know of a plug-in or template that will help me do this en masse in FCP?

    Thanks,

    Paul

*slide show presets-templates can be pretty cheezy, I’m very open to other transition options beside this Keynote style. I have Boris but am looking for more than swish-glow-blur transitions. (If I can’t find an alternative I might buy Keynote for it but I wouldn’t be my first choice.)

I am not familiar with Apple Keynote, but I can tell you that FX Factory has an immensely choice of very creative transitions for FCP. And if that isnt enough, CGM Video also has a wide variety of innovative ones as well.

If you don’t find what you want from within FCP, look at Red Giant Software, Boris FX and Nattress for plug-ins that will mimic the transitions from Keynote.

This is great everyone, thanks so much. The need for video “slideshows” is a evergreen but a moving target as to new, innovative and hopefully classy ways of doing it in volume. (If that’s not a contradiction 😉

    Best,

Noise industries and Coremelt both have a plugin pack that does exactly what you want.
