April 12, 2012 at 12:55 amI think the Tocket would throttle to whatever the throughput.
4x PCIe isn’t to shabby especially when you consider straight CPU render times which are long.

April 12, 2012 at 1:43 amSo why wouldn’t Apple link to the card on their “In Action” gear list?
Perhaps Red will have their own announcement of a Thunderbolt version? -

April 12, 2012 at 1:51 amI’ve only played with FCP X a few times… is the set up the timeline and event browser clips in the Danni Lowinski story something you can achieve in the current version? Just looks different to what I’ve seen before…

April 12, 2012 at 1:55 amSure you can connect clips below the primary story line. They have both Video and Audio connected below.

April 12, 2012 at 2:03 amThe Lowinski story was light on details like how they were getting material to da Vinci and how roles were helping get the AAF to audio post. No mention of third party software to make this possible.
Also no reasons given why the old show had to be cut in 10 minute segments. Given reports about FCPX bloat, I don’t see X as superior to 7 for project size, indeed the opposite is often reported here.

“It’s not out yet? Beta? NDA? Legal? I dunno.

April 12, 2012 at 2:13 amResolve understand FCPX XML
They certainly do list Marquis Broadcast X2Pro Audio Convert on the right in Gear List.
Bloat is due to splitting Compound Clips mostly. -
