Apple final cut plug in for greenscreen
Could anyone recommend a plug-in for greenscreen work from personal experience? We’re getting excellent results from the basic software, but, being perfectionists (the videographers’ curse) we were wondering if we can speed things up in the editing suite with a good plug-in. I think we produce work which any client would accept, but there is just an occasional artefact which is stubborn to remove quickly. I haven’t tried a filtered edge light yet – magenta/pink – and wonder if I really need to. We have good even light on the greenscreen (about 1,400 watts from two instruments)and we are far enough in front of it not to cast shadows. Once we have the footage we need to speed up the workflow to get to the next job. Any comments appreciated.

Have you tried Send to Motion…the Chroma Keyer in Motion is excellent.

dvmatte is a great plugin for FCP for greenscreen.
Once you get used to it, you will never use FCP for chroma key again.

Red Giant’s Primatte Keyer Pro is fantastic, and they have a nice video tutorial online. It’s pricey, but worth it.

Ultimatte Advant Edgeis a great keyer for those tough keys. Curly hair, glass, netted objects. But there is very little learning support for this plug-in.

Thanks for the reply Robert. By coincidence, my colleague had found this application and downloaded a demo – and he likes it too. I think we may well go with it.
