Apple FCP upgrade installation question.
We have two licenses of FCP Studio 1. We’d like to upgrade to and install FCP Studio 2 on a new machine. The problem is that the new machine is in Washington state and the old machines and FCP Studio 1 discs are in Virginia.
When FCP Studio 2 upgrade installs, does it check the hard drive to see if FCP was installed (like some Adobe apps do) or does it just ask for the old serial numbers?

It asks for the old serial number, I don’t think it looks for the old version on the hard drive. I could be wrong on that though.
