No matter what I do I can’t seem to get the destination droplet to work. Every time I add a clip to compressor, select a setting and then try to add a destination I get ‘Each target assigned to a job must have a setting and destination.’ when I hit submit.

I’ve tried both custom destinations as well as the apple ones. I’m u sing just a single clip and dragging the droplets down. What I want to be able to do is directly upload a clip to my FTP via compressor but I can’t seem to get anything to work when assigning a destination.

The only places you can send the file to is a drive, Mobile me account, YouTube… don’t think there’s a way from within Compressor to make the destination a web address.

But Compressor has the option to execute an AppleScript if you know how to use that for the upload there might be a way to do it that way?

But you could do it easily from within Sorenson’s Squeeze or Telestream’s software… better compression software either one to boot.
