I need to compressor my MC timeline to H.264 I already have compresses on my Imac .has anyone used this on MC. I know Squeeze is available but I don’t want to pay for it if I don’t have to. What is your work flow if you are using compressor

Should be the pretty close to the same workflow – export a QT reference, QT Same as Source, or MXFOP1a and open in Compressor with your desired output settings and export. I use Adobe Media Encoder rather than Squeeze since I already have that and the process would be similar.

My reasons for using MXF OP1a are in my blog: https://24p.com/wordpress/?p=278

You could always export an H.264 directly out of Avid.

If you want to use Compressor then export a ProRes or DNxHD QuickTime out of Avid and then run it through Compressor.
