Has anyone ever used an apple cinema display as a field monitor? It has a DVI plug, but you can get a DVI to component video adaptor that in theory should work. Anyone?

Thanks…. Also, does anyone use an apple cinema display to do color correction? Can it be calibrated and used as such?

    Thanks

There is a way to use it.. problem with your method is that it’s a progressive scan monitor and you’re feeding it interlaced video….plus you can’t calibrate it.

But there’s a fix for that! If you have a 23″ display, Matrox MXO works like a charm and even has blue only and proc amp controls to make it a viable field monitor.
