anyway to use a wacom tablet w/ c4d?
Posted by Colin James on May 10, 2005 at 3:20 pmHey all, has anyone found a way to use a wacom tablet w/ cinema4d (we’re using r9)? It just goes everywhere…and when I used lightwave, there used to be a simple button that would switch it to Tablet Mode or somesuch.

May 10, 2005 at 3:27 pmDoes it go everywhere on the desktop? Meaning does it act normal, then get strange when using C4D? I assume you have switched between ‘mouse’ mode and ‘pen’ mode on the tablet and adjusted the tablet mouse speed settings?

May 10, 2005 at 3:41 pmI have no experience with a Wacom, although I’ve read threads regarding this. Seems that there is a pref for
graphic tablet in the application prefs. I think you turn on “Graphic Tablet”. -

May 10, 2005 at 3:43 pmYeah it does go all funky, and then the mouse starts acting odd even after I stop using the mouse…weird. Not that big of a deal…not worth having to adjust the tablet’s settings (especially if Im switching between apps) ..

Maybe try setting the pref that say say project layout on quit would work.

It does for me. -

May 12, 2005 at 9:21 pmYes. Turn on high-resolution points and your wacom should be fine. Make sure you’re updated via the maxon site; they often fix preference bugs like that right_away.
