Anyone using studio network solutions gear?

I’m curious if it actually does work with Avid. Is it in the same price range as something like EditShare, or (hopefully) cheaper?
I’ve got the normal stuff attached to an internal network (Avid Meridian on Mac, 2 PC XPress Pro HD systems), After Effects on a Mac, a DAW / Sorenson encoding machine on PC, a DVD burner and a Chyron Micro-X system.
I’d like to be able to share footage with at least the two XPress Pros. At least it would be used as a network attached storage unit to facilitate a P2 workflow.

We’re using the SAN MP system with Avid MC Soft 2.7 and GSpeed storage for a reality show. It presents several challenges with media management and distribution and there is absolutely no project sharing; but it is fast as lightning. These challenges can be easily managed if you’re diligent in keeping track of where you’re putting your media, renders, etc…
There are drive scanning/indexing issues between Power PC and Intel Macs that are typical of Avid. This is compounded if you create large numbers of volumes (we have 40) with SAN MP, but if you’re all Power PC or all Intel, the issue goes away.
I came in after the set-up had been purchased and installed, so I can’t really speak to what it cost. We purchased from Melrose Mac and They can probably quote.
