anyone knowing the real impact of compressed raw 12 stops in the blackmagic production 4k ?

Let me clarify something. I own a 7d, which can record 1280 x 720 (HD): 60p (59.94). I understand the concept you mentioned. My question was refered to this other matter. I did the math: if canon 7d (cropping to 720p “reducing size”) delivers 60p 59.94… why not the bmcc (cropping from 2.5 k to 1080p) can’t deliver 60p (59.94) ? So the next step is conforming to 23.98 time base, and then you will get SlowMo….exactly as the 7D. Sounds reasonable.
In BMPC4K tech specs, blackmagic team show “1920 x 1080i 59.94”. that’s what I understood. So why they don’t explain that the camera can’t record 59.94i to the SSd? When they say: 1080i 59.94i I understand is like the 7d. Sacrifying the 2.5 format to 1080i. Is real sad to hear that the camera never (not even firmware) record 59.94i. Is this correct? Are you realy sure? or I’m confusing something?

finaly It is very important to me to know if the BMPC4k’s maximun recording frame rate is 30p like the Original BMCC. So I can despite this as a plus to consider and maybe stick to the original.
