Anyone have any scene settings they like for bright outdoor/dark shadows?
Posted by Noam Osband on August 10, 2011 at 9:49 pmI’m doing a bunch of shooting outdoors mid-day. It’s bright sun and dark shadows. Any scene settings people like in this setting?

August 11, 2011 at 9:21 amI’d highly recommend bringing some reflectors and control the light. Filling in the shadows will help you as much or more than say reducing contrast in your scene file settings.

August 12, 2011 at 9:25 amYeah, I’m just all alone here and I’m following someone who’s moving around alot. Between the camer and the sound, i cant do reflectors (I’m aware the setup isnt ideal. C’est la vie.)
i was using these settings but the image, when i watched tonight, seemed to lose a lot of detail:
Detail +2
V Detail +2
Coring -2
Gamma: HD Norm
Matrix: Cinelike
DRS: +2 -
