Anyone get three cameras to work with Wirecast?
Posted by David Del on April 2, 2007 at 12:24 amJust wondering if anyone has had a chance to use Wirecast by Varasoft for a 3 camera shoot and whether it worked out not?

April 3, 2007 at 3:47 amYep. We have a four cam studio built around wirecast. We have done many 1/2 hour direct to the internet streaming shows. The problems we’ve had had more to do with connectivity that with the software.
You’re going to need an extra firewire card to “spread out” the bandwith.

Wirecast recommends a separate firewire bus for each camera so you will need a separate card for each camera.

April 13, 2007 at 2:08 pmYeah, but I guess extra buses for Laptop is probably not going to work because most only have one Card bus slot. Are you using a tower?
