Posted by Todd Vanslyck on April 13, 2021 at 8:47 pmI haven’t made the jump yet, gonna wait til the bugs get worked out.
I had a lot of issues in the last major upgrade.Curious if anybody has and if there are any issues.

April 14, 2021 at 3:19 pmI’ve been on it personally, as well as the whole shop, since it was released. No huge issues.
One weird issue though. On one machine there’s a conflict with Dropbox, which required uninstalling Dropbox on that Mac. The same Mac also has some intermittent issue with Project Locking, so I have to run that Mac with locking disabled. Neither are showstoppers. Adobe is aware of both issues, but to date there’s no fix.
Overall, I like the updates, including the change to captioning in Premiere Pro. That’s a HUGE improvement. If you do a lot with closed captions, then you really should upgrade.

April 14, 2021 at 11:08 pmWe have a major issue with 2021 using Pr/Ae into AME 2021.
H264 files tend to corrupt near the end of the clip.
Anything we render dies at about 1 min left.
The file would seem okay until playback.
Only fix is to render to ProRes then use AME2020 for export.

April 15, 2021 at 11:59 pmThere’s also another issue with AME. Apparently third-party audio plug-ins used in a Premiere Pro sequence aren’t linked if you send the sequence to AME to render.
