In Vegas I have put together background media for DVD opening page.
This includes a couple of logos and some Vegas-generated text.
Looks great in preview window and NTSC monitor, as expcted.
BUT,…..when page is rendered to .avi uncompressed and opened in DVD-A the logos are blurred,—as in the text.
Anyone have the “secret recipe” or a work around to make these images look sharp and clear in DVD-A.

    Thanks,

    Dan

perhaps its just my setup but when I look as just about anything in DVDA preview even at GOOD setting TEXT especially looks pretty bad. Looks fine on the finished DVD and looks great on up to a 55 inch TV (don’t have anything bigger so I can’t tell after that) but 1 key is to use something other than a fine line script text-that breaks up pretty bad-other than that I really haven’t had a major issue once I figured out that the final product came out fine even if it looked somewhat bad in the preview

Another thing I discovered is it is a much better idea to add text and objects in DVDA rather than exporting from Vegas.

Are you using DVDA 3.0? If so, Sony recommends that any background media be rendered (from Vegas) in progressive scan format. There’s a few more suggestions at the top of p. 47 in the manual.

I’ve also had this problem in Photoshop. I exported a logo that I designed (for myself) as a jpeg from Photoshop, and when I open it up, it’s blurred.

Just thought I’d throw that in.
