When working in a 10-bit uncompressed SD workspace, if I go to use the regular plain text tool that comes with my FCP it crashes the program hard. Switching to the Boris text tool works fine, but wondering if this is a known bug or a particular quirk of my own system/setup.

Many folks diss the built-in FCP titler tool, but I have grown to live with it over time and had gotten comfy with it, and ot was fone for 90 percent of my needs. A lot of my work is done in 8-bit uncompressed, this issue has only arisen when working in 10-bit.

I’ve never had this happen to me. Try trashing prefs and repairing permissions. You can also try running Disk Warrior, too.
