  • Any way to STOP AE from writing those XMP and XMPSES files?

Posted by Tim Kocher on April 3, 2013 at 4:22 am

I have been rendering a lot of MPEG2 comps for a DVD series I’m producing. However, AE keeps creating .xmp and .xmpses files every time I render one out. I really don’t want (or need, as far as I can tell) these cluttering up my directories.

Is there any way to force AE NOT to write them when exporting MPEG2? I thought maybe disabling the options under XMP Metadata in the Media & Disk Cache preferences section might work, but it has no impact.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Anyone??

There is an option (“Include Source XMP data”) in the output module main screen, but I DO have that UNchecked, yet it still writes the XMP file(s). There is no option within the MPEG2 settings itself (i.e. Format Options).
