Any way to send FCP timelines to Express?
I know that Final Cut Express can’t read XML edit lists, but is there any way to open a Pro-created project file or timeline in Express short of re-cutting everything?

It can actually. Export a version 1 XML file and drag it into the FCE browser.

I’ve opened projects from old versions of FCP in express, but I don’t know about current ones. I think as long as the version of express is newer than the version of FCP… but seeing as they don’t update express as often as pro, that can be a problem. XML may be your best bet.
