  • Any way to match a font from a video still frame?

    Hi all
I am trying to match a font from text already in a video. Is there some way to use Type Kit to use a still frame image from the video to match it?

    Hi Bret,
If you can find out the font family of the original, you can check lists to see similar alternatives to that font: https://typekit.com/lists

    Nothing “auto-magical” though. Sorry.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Thanks, I did some looking there but time-consuming. I did find an app called Whatthefont which can do what I described and found out the font is Elefantasia, which although not in Typekit was only 10 bucks.

Maybe Adobe can add that feature in an update as it’s really helpful for those of us who don’t know enough about graphics to know too many font names.
