Any way to get photojpeg sequence out of firewire port?
We have a pretty large project here that uses media digitized at photojpeg (about 12hrs of footage, works beautifully with our decklink cards), now an editor needs to go to work with a client and can only bring a laptop and some firewire drives with him, he will have access to TV (not broadcast) monitors and obviously wants his video and audio up on there so the client doesn’t have to squint all the time. My suggestion is to batch all the source media to DV and use a firewire to A/V converter to get it onto the TV, does anyone know of any other workaround, I can get single frames out of a photojpeg sequence to the firewire but no real playback. All help and advice is appreciated (even if it’s just to confirm that there is no other workaround I’d like to hear it).
Thanks for your time,
Glenn Stewart
1k StudiosPS I’ve already searched the posts so please don’t tell me to do so unless you can point to something usefull, the one thread I found seemed to confirm that I’d have to batch to DV. Also I’m not particularly concerned with the quality loss of recompressing to DV as it will be finished back here at 10bit eventually.
