  • Any way to change regular 16:9 to 16:9 anamorphic?

    Hi All,

So I’ve been given footage shot with the HVX 200, the frame size that it natively shows up in FCP as is 1280 x 1080, but I can export it to 1920 x 1080.

It is all shot in regular 16:9, and I was wondering if there is any way that anyone knows to change it into 16:9 anamorphic. As the client may need this for delivery.

If anyone can help that would be huge!!

    Scott

Just export a DVCPROHD QT file. The file will be 1280×1080, like your source footage.

Scott in HD resolution there is no anamorphic since HD is square pixels 1.0

To get Anamorphic pixels of 1.2 you have to down convert it to SD.

    thats the only way.

Nuh uh. See above. The real question is – ‘why would he want to?’

Apparently, he may need to output to Digital Beta 16:9 Anamorphic, thus the question.

    I appreciate everyone’s help!
