Is there any way in Motion 3 to bend an object so that it appears to be part of a curved surface?

Specific example: I recently wanted to make some text look like it had been painted onto the curved wall of a circular tunnel. I could get the perspective roughly right but the text still looked flat, it didn\\\’t look like it curved with the tunnel wall.

Not in 3D space, no. Motion only understands flat layers.

bogiesan is right. With text you can try to fake it by selecting the text. Go to the text’s Layout tab. Change the Layout Method from Type to Path. There you can curve the text. Next change the text’s 3D rotation so it looks like it is going further away. Hope this helps and best of luck.
