    Hey there

Ok, firstly, yes i have watched the andrew kramer tutorial, and yes its very good! however im trying to do something with a bit of that tut used but not completely.

Basically im using fractal noise to create the 3d city effect, and then using fractal scale to zoom out of this, but eventually it needs to show the earth. so ive scaled it down really small like 7 percent on a comp of the world and then made the world map really huge. so once the scaling out on fractal noise has finished i start scaling the earth size down….and it works ok, but the speeds of the two zooms are difficult to get exactly the same velocity so there isnt a jump, if you know what i mean?

if anyone could help with this that’d be great!

    thanks

    dan

You might just want to put the fractal noise on a huge solid, then scale the solid itself down. Since you’ll have another layer with scale properties, then you can use Andrew’s parenting tip and just scale the one property, use easy ease keyframes from start to finish and then do rove across time to make it smoother.
