Typically, editing in Pro Res (HQ) at 1080p but when I try multicam, my current RAID isn’t good enough.

Any suggestions out there? Keep in mind, I don’t have a large budget. :-/

Well, if you get a faster RAID 0 setup, you will need a better connector than Firewire. Firewire 800 has a limit of about 85MB/s. eSATA is better with around 210MB/s. Get a G-Raid 2TB or 4TB eSATA drive, and get an eSATA card for the computer (PCIe if tower, Express34 if 17″ MacBook Pro).
