I’ve been using Premiere for age. I’ve just finished my longest project ever and I’ve been upset several times about how slow Premiere is. I went for final post processing every clips in AE and AE was way faster in term of adjusting keyframes and such. Premiere I was like adjusting Scale, positions etc and it was painfully slow on each adjustments and previewing even at 1/4 and 1/8 which has me wondered if those res feature had any effects at all.

Now I’m looking for ways to improve Premiere responsiveness.

There are many factors that could contribute to performance issues, but we need a lot more info to even get started.

    What version of Premiere?

    PC system specs?

    Type of footage/length of program?

    Effects/filters/plugins being used?

I commonly edit multi-camera HD productions of 2+ hours on CS6 on a 4-yr-old system without any slow downs.

    Thanks
