Any Avid Training Centers Near Detroit? Or Avid Editors Willing to Train?
I’m a Final Cut Pro editor trying to get up to speed on Avid. I tried an internship at a post house, but I didn’t get enough hands on experience there. At this point, I’d just like to enroll in a class. Avid’s website doesn’t have any Michigan training centers listed. Does anyone here have any advice for me?
I’d be willing/interested in making some creative deals with any Avid editors in Michigan. You want me to log all of that boring interview footage for you? Do you want me to edit a bar mitzvah or wedding or two or seven? Sure, will do. Teach me Avid and it’s done.

I’d be willing to be some local Avid owners would train you on their Avids in exchange for FCP training. I’d call around and see. I wouldnt write a check for classes though.
