I have a project shot and edited at DVCProHD 720p, 960×720. Our VFX person needed FX shots exported to him in Animation codec, which I did, and he has now delivered finished FX shots back to me in Animation codec, 1280×720.

My plan is to master out of FCP a DVCProHD Quicktime of the finished show, with VFX shots, and flip it in Quicktime to Uncompressed 10bit, then send that 10bit Quicktime on to color correction and finishing.

What do I do with the Animation codec FX shots I received back from the VFX artist? Do I just cut those into my sequence, render them, and export the sequence? Or do I convert them in Quicktime to DVCProHD first? What’s the cleanest workflow for this?

    Thanks!

    Jeff
