    Hi Guys,

I have encountered another problem with my project and again im pretty sure its something stupid that im missing.

I have an imported an intro that I have from another project. its 10 seconds long.

I wanted to cross dissolve from this clip into around 2 seconds of solid white colour. I achieved this fine.

Now i need to do the exact same thing but put the white solid colour at the start and dissolve into the intro (which will now act as an outro)

The problem is, when I try to cross dissolve from the colour to the clip it wont let me do it. The dissolve only appears on side of the clip and I cant edit it.

    Can anyone help?

How much extra ftg do you have at the start of your clip? If you edit starts right at the start of the original clip you won’t have anything to dissolve with.

If you are coming from a solid white to the video, and you don’t have an handles on the material (clip actually starts at viewing frame one.

Place a colored solid set to white for the duration of the “fade” you want above clip. Then change the opacity of the solid from 100% to zero. This will give you a fade up from color.
